Just got back home.. I'm quite dead..

01. West Country Girl
02. Abattoir Blues
03. Red Right Hand

05. Wonderful Life
06. Lucy
07. The weeping song
08. Cannibals Himn
09. Rock of Gibraltar
10. Strange Days

11. Henry Lee (dedicated to fucking Micheal Jackson; he changed the ending part, cut off a pair of verses, and sang a new different one (new to me but maybe not for you) saying "don't do like mister henry lee"..)

12. The Mercy Seat (rocked as always!)

13. Hiding all away (after the end of which he reprised the ending "there is a war coming" changing the lyrics into "there is a mother fucking" or something like that Laughing crazy!)

14. God is in the house (he asked for the odience to sing along, but just the chorus and not the verses.. he even explained the meaning of both saying that the chorus is that catchy part, easy to remember, while the verses are more lyrically complicated.. or something like that, not the exact words ;D and when it came the part of "Alleluja", we all were so quietly shouting it that he laughed his ass off!! LMAO!!!)

15. Jack the Ripper

FIRST ENCORE
16. People ain't no good
17. Let the bells ring
18. The Ship Song
19. Tupelo (but he made a lot of mistakes)

SECOND ENCORE
20. The Lyre of Orpheus

Then they had to go away. He said he would have been back (hope with someone else on sound system cause it sucked)
Me and hubby were on "spodaj desno", the red chairs, second row on the right. quite good seats, but then everybody stood up as Nick asked us.. Nick was hilarious all the time, saying fuck here and there, fuck to the man on sound, fucking micheal jackson, oh fuck.. He even whispered some of the song "requested" cause he seemed not to remember their tune (lol)..

Great night, afterall :)

And Ljubljana is a fucking amazing city!! :o

Big Red Button - Based on true events [21 May 2005|12:18pm]
[ mood | relaxed ]
[ music | Big Red Button - "Anything on earth" ]

"Is there something in me meant to be?"
Music has always been an important part in my life as it helped me to express feelings and emotions i couldn't or wouldn't tell.

"In her eyes was Mexico"...
This cd has definitely entered in the house, in my little world.. It has a certain power to depict images in my mind.. foreign landscapes, a glass of something strong, a wooden room, a warm hug around me and a sunrise in front of me, with nothing in the middle to bring me away. And the warm voice of the singer, Christine Mourad, empowers the melancholy notes of the acoustic guitars.

"I will tear the sky, I will burn the sea.."
But from time to time everyone needs to be shaked from apathy.. And i know for sure that love has this power.. A love that brings you up..

"And I'll fall in love again.."
The only song lyrics written and sung by guitarist Jason Orme, fall between joy and desperation, all at once, to celebrate one of the moment-key of everybody's life. Words quite whispered, notes calm and floating in the room as a lullaby. A love that brings you down.. on the opposite she sings

"Something it's breaking"
The eternal round of falling in love and falling over.. The rage for the n-th defeat in the war of love can be felt on the higher chords..

"as I run this desert, will I uncover my treasure?"
It's always hard to start again after a defeat, to build up the houses and the bridges with the world outside, to start to smile at life again, to let someone else enter our little world..

"frozen in time"
Happiness can break you down as much as the defeats.. since the fear to loose everything in a moment is too strong and sometimes overcomes the joy itself.

"I'm a flower in the darkness"
Fragile but strong, ethereal but determined..

"Does anyone remember their life?"
In its entireness, the album "Based on true events" tells the truth and tells it with class, passion, romance and rage. The words and chords coming straight from the heart are the door to reach the inner soul. The grand combination of acoustic instruments and a sweet raw female voice is the key to open it. No useless adds.. just this. In a world lead by technolgy, a step back to the pure thoughts of 4 passionate persons can bring you back to the real jewels of life. Thanks for this pearl.
